Initiative Recovery programme at Conway House

Initiative Thinking Skills are returning to Conway House this December to deliver their highly successful initiative recovery educational programme .

The programme is available to ALL Sapphire residents and promotes abstinence as an achievable and maintainable goal, through providing skills and tools to recognise and control addictive desires and help participants to take responsibility for choices and behaviours.

Their next programme is being hosted at Sapphire’s Training Resource Centre (TRC), based at our Conway House hostel in Kilburn, and will run for four consecutive days: from Monday 4 December –Thursday 7th December. All attendees are expected to attend every session once they have signed up for the course.

Initiative Thinking Skills provided a similar programme at the TRC earlier this year that has helped many of our residents, who attended the programme. Robert from Conway House says he found the course:

“Well thought out and easy to understand with the proposed skills simple and useful. I found the proposed approach of retraining an individual by implementing various skills to assist in recognition and controlling the urge to drink interesting, engaging and very useful”

If you think this programme could be useful to you and you would like to book a place please speak to your Key Worker/Housing Officer or email TRCinfo@sih.org
